I never do. So, I decided to kill it. Didn’t seem to be a way to do it via the gui, so you have to do it this way.

defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES
killall Dock

Now, it’s gone until you want to have it back. Then you just reverse it this way…

defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean NO
killall Dock
