Security and Technology Ramblings…

I’ve been a fan of ZTerm for a long time and have used it to configure many serial devices. However, it just seems like OSX freezes from time to time when I’m running it. It may just be me, and may not be related to ZTerm.

However, I’m going to fore go using it for a while and just use the built in “screen” command. Here’s how to use “screen” to connect to a serial port….

screen /dev/tty.usbserialdevice 9600

So, you would need to change usbserialdevice to whatever your device is loaded as. And the 9600 is the speed you wish to connect at.

To exit screen you would CTRL-A, CTRL-\ and choose Yes.
